Did his Schooling in Kerala, Intermediate(Agriculture) at Allahabad, B.Sc Agriculture (Hons) from Kanpur University. Taken a 6 months diploma course in Sericulture from the Central Sericulture Research and Training Institute Mysore of Central Silk Board of Government of India. Also Successfully completed 3 months training in Composite Technology in Sericulture from the Sericulture Research Institute Zhunjiang, China, the premier Institute of Chinese National Government. Since 1980 working under Government of Kerala in various capacities.( as Agricultural Officer in KLD&MM Board and in the Department of Agriculture, as District Sericulture Officer in KK&V I Board and in SERIFED, also worked as the Managing Director of SERIFED.
